I have so much admiration for these two. They endured so many hurdles before getting to say their vows, first having to cancel their big celebration (originally planned for May 2020) and then it absolutely poured during the entire day of their intimate outdoor ceremony on Sweet Alyssum Farm. I wanted to do something special for them, so I suggested stopping by W. W. Seymour Conservatory in Tacoma before getting on the ferry to Vashon. Because of the pandemic the conservatory had reserved time slots so we had the whole place to ourselves, it was magical. Despite getting absolutely drenched during their ceremony Erin and Rory were both grinning the whole time, so happy to finally be saying I do to each other. I had decided to stay over night on Vashon and when I woke up the next day it was beautiful out, so I invited them over for portraits hoping we’d get some sun. Of course it started pouring again as soon as they got there! We just had to laugh.
